Year 6 Science trip to Carlton Academy
On Tuesday 3rd October the Year 6 children partook in a science afternoon at Carlton Academy, providing them with the opportunity to experience science investigations at secondary level.
The theme for the afternoon was fireworks and comprised of two parts: the first saw the children in laboratories investigating which chemicals when burned (using bunsen burners) produced certain colours and to then design and construct their own rockets that were then launched using air propulsion.
We hope the pictures capture just how much the children enjoyed and embraced this exciting and utterly compelling afternoon. Thank you TCA on behalf of the whole of Year 6.
