From 7th to 9th November, Year 6 went on their annual residential to Edale in the Peak District.
We tackled an array of challenging activities, e.g. abseiling, caving, weaselling, night-hiking, rock climbing and on arriving – a range of ice-breaker activities, and by doing so we built on our self-confidence: a very important / crucial life skill. Therefore when confronted with challenges either in Year 6 or beyond, e.g. at secondary school, the children can think to themselves, ‘Well, if I can abseil off of a viaduct or have a go at traversing a near sheer rock face, then I am capable of anything!’
We are so proud of all the children and a super time was had by all (children and adults alike).
