Year 6 residential to Edale
This is such an important residential for Year 6 because it helps develop crucial life skills such as resilience, determination and self-confidence. These skills can then be used not only when confronted with challenges later in Year 6, 7, 8 and so on, but in later (adult) life as well. The children are already thinking and reflecting on the fact that if they can abseil off a viaduct in the dark they can certainly have a go at and tackle long division in maths and the use of apostrophes in English. If they continue with such attitudes, just imagine what they will be capable of when they're adults!
Enjoy looking at the pictures of the children engaging in activities such as: rock climbing, caving, weaseling, abseiling and night hiking etc. They should be so very proud of themselves - we certainly are.
