Westdale pupils celebrate cultural variety (Year 3 - 18/11/2022)

On Monday 14th November, all Westdale Junior School pupils enjoyed a day learning about the culture of Spanish speaking countries in the Americas.

Year 3 and 4 worked at an art style from Panama with Mrs James and learned about llamas in Bolivia, creating a clay class pet as a memory! In Mrs Mason's lesson, they found out about Cuba and the origins of salsa music and dancing, using percussion instruments and movement to accompany the works of Celia Cruz. Pupils debated Fair Trade in Costa Rica with Miss Greaves with passion and conviction!
