Westdale pupils celebrate cultural variety (Year 6 - 18/11/2022)

On Monday 14th November, all Westdale Junior School pupils enjoyed a day learning about the culture of Spanish speaking countries in the Americas.

Year 5 and 6 studied the fantastic exotic animals of Nicaragua with Mr. Martin and delved deeper into the geography of El Salvador with Miss Murphy, looking at volcanoes and the benefits they bring to the locals. With a focus on Mexican culture with the year 6 teachers, pupils created self-portraits in the style of Frida Kahlo with Mrs Hall and created some detailed art based on the Day of the Dead celebrations with Mr. Ring.
